Evaluation Question 4

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

I have used Slideshare for Question one of the evaluation. Creating a Powerpoint then transferring it onto this website. This allows it to be embedded on Blogger.

I used Moviemaker for Question three of the evaluation. Using a combination of images, effects and audio.

We used the recording studio to record the voiceover and radio trailer. It was recorded directly onto a memory stick which could be easily opened in adobe.

I used the Internet for many reasons throughout my production. It helped with research and emailing Penny Williams to get our interview. Also using websites such as 4creative to look at print ideas.

I used Microsoft word for writing out our scrips, initial plan, running order and to write the voiceover.

I used YouTube to put our documentary onto to gather audience feedback.

I used Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to create the documentary and Radio trailer. We dragged the footage into the program and used the razor tool to cut the selected part and drag into the time line. We also had to change sound levels, use effects such as dissolve and fade in the programme.

Facebook was used to get audience feedback of our documentary as we posted the link to our documentary.

I used Microsoft excel to create graphs for the target audience questionnaire and the audience feedback questionnaire.

I have used blogger to keep a track and progress of all of my work.

Photoshop was used to create the Newspaper advert. We had to experiment with a lot of the tool in the programme to create the effect of having no eyes. Tools such as smudge, blur and paint created the overall product.

I used Microsoft paint to paste the screenshots of work in progress and save as an image.

I used a tripod when filming the interviews. One of the reasons why we had to film the Margaret Ross interview twice was because the tripod was too high. We also used it white doing the stop motion on our title as the camera had to remain in the same place.

We used a stills camera for taking pictures whist filming and for creating our title.

I have used a laptop to do all my written work. However i used the same computer to create my documentary.

I used my phone to take pictures when we where filming. This was useful as the pictures can be immediately emailed to the group so we all have quick access of them.

We used a video camera to capture the footage for our documentary, then using the USB lead plugged it into the computer to capture.
